The Department of Pediatrics and Human Development is looking to expand the Pediatric Pulmonology Division to include additional faculty as well as establish a Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship Training Program.  The Division has a state of the art equipped Pulmonary Function Laboratory, with bronchoscopy suites and a full service pediatric sleep laboratory at Sparrow Hospital. There is also a well-established Cystic Fibrosis Program. There is also a strong cadre of established investigators in respiratory health at Michigan State University.  Michigan State University has community campuses in six Michigan cities and the department co-sponsors the Pediatric Residency Program in Lansing and is affiliated with an additional three residency programs in the State of Michigan.  Therefore the successful candidates must have an interest in teaching, research and clinical practice.

Located in greater Lansing, Michigan, this position offers a research-based focus with the added flexibility of taking part in teaching and clinical work in an area that offers all of the amenities of a Big Ten University in a friendly and livable community.

The candidate must be eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Michigan and certified by the American Board of Pediatric Pulmonology.  The Division Chief should have academic qualifications that commensurate with the rank of an Associate Professor and have leadership experience and skills, including an understanding of academic program development and obtaining research grants. All other candidates must have a strong interest in academics, teaching and clinical practice.
