John E. Green,
Jr. is President and partner of Aegis Group Search
Consultants LLC, a Michigan based consulting firm
specializing in the executive level search
services for healthcare organizations.
Mr.
Green earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Health
Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
He
worked for Merck and Co., Inc. for 8 years as a
pharmaceutical sales representative promoting and
marketing therapeutic agents to physicians and
pharmacists. During this period Mr. Green received
awards and recognition for superior territory
management and sales volume growth.
He often served on panels to plan and
assess marketing and promotional campaigns.
Looking
forward to a participating role within the
provider ranks of the healthcare industry, Mr.
Green earned a Masters of Health Administration with a
focus on strategic planning and business
development.
During this period, he worked with a group
of professors on a grant to provide rural
communities with healthcare strategic planning.
While completing his degree, he worked for
Columbia HCA as a strategic planner and market
analyst developing business cases for hospital
acquisitions, clinical business unit expansions
and healthcare systems and facility development.
Upon completing the MHA degree, Mr. Green transferred to the operations side of the hospital
business and began a career in hospital
administration. He served as a medical staff
relations representative and associate
administrator.
In 2001,
he moved to Detroit and the Detroit Medical Center
to serve as the Vice-President, Strategic Planning
and Business Development at Children’s Hospital
of Michigan where he successfully developed a $52
million business plan to recruit a new Chair of
Pediatrics and supporting faculty.
Through his many years as a health care executive Mr. Green has
established an extensive and diverse network of
Healthcare and Physician executives. His
background will lend assistance to our client’s
efforts to achieve diversity in the recruitment of
management teams leaders.
Mr. Green is a member of the American College of
Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Michigan Healthcare
Executive Group and Associates (MHEGA) and the
National Association of Health Service Executives
(NAHSE). Mr.
Green has received an American College of Healthcare
Executives Regents’ Early Career Award.
